Fit
Psychology graduates who want corporate pay and hours rather than clinical work. Assessment and people analytics are growing functions in India, and the evidence base gives you standing that generalist HR practitioners lack.
The honest reality
Read this one
Many Indian employers do not distinguish this from general HR, so you may spend years arguing for rigour against decisions already made on instinct. Specialist consultancy roles are few and concentrated in metros. Work can involve assessments used for redundancy decisions, which is worth thinking about in advance. A postgraduate qualification is essentially required.
