What the work involves

Day to day

Learning a business by working inside it - purchasing, pricing, customer handling, accounts, staff and the daily judgement calls that never appear in a course. Responsibility usually widens faster than in any employed role.

02

Who this suits

Fit

People with a family enterprise to step into who want practical commercial education without fees or delay. You see a real profit and loss account from the inside, which is a genuinely rare education at that age.

03

The honest reality

Read this one

There is no external credential at the end, which matters if the business fails or you later want to be employed elsewhere. Family and work disagreements are the same disagreement, and that is harder than it sounds. Established habits can be difficult to challenge as the junior person, and it is easy to spend a decade without ever having tested yourself outside. Building an outside qualification alongside is worth the effort.
