Who this suits
Fit
People comfortable with both cabling and basic networking who want a trade with recurring revenue. Annual maintenance contracts turn one installation into years of income, which is the real attraction of the business.
The honest reality
Read this one
Hardware margins have been squeezed hard by cheap imports, so installation and maintenance fees are where the money is. The technical side keeps moving toward IP and cloud systems, so anyone who stops learning becomes unemployable. You will have access to footage of people's homes and businesses, and handling that responsibly is a genuine obligation, not a formality.
