This is not an entry-level position; expect several years as a designer first. Advertising hours are long and client revisions can dismantle good work for reasons that are not about the work. Agency employment is cyclical and layoffs follow account losses. The generative AI shift is changing production economics fast, and nobody in the industry is certain yet where it settles.
